If you choose to use Vern’s plumbing, ** proceed with caution ***.I bought this house in 2021 and had Vern’s do work in 2021 and 2022.Here is my general work history with Vern’s:In 2021, Vern’s installed a new pricey water treatment system, and I had all five toilet bowls in my house replaced with new ones (American Standard, I bought them from Lowe’s). I also paid for their membership plan.In 2022, I had drain stops replaced or added on some bathroom sinks when they came for the annual checkup. They also replaced my UV lamp.Here’s why this review is one star:1. One of the toilet bowls that was replaced in 2021 is now leaking badly from the base. This is not an old house. If there was anything wrong with that toilet installation or bathroom that could cause a leak, presumably they would have told me in 2021 before replacing the toilet. Especially since I paid for their membership program.2. One of the sinks that they replaced in the drain stopper a year ago is now leaking.3. The water treatment system was set at too high a flush rate or whatever, which appears to have damaged my yard outside. I had another professional come and check the system.4. When they came last year, they charged me for an extra drain stop that they never replaced. At around $270 per drain stop (not faucet, just the drain stop mechanism), it’s not cheap. I had to contact them and ask why I was charged for one extra drain stop. This is not a cheap mistake. And had I not looked line by line, otherwise I’d have lost that money.Ugh. 😫😫😔My parents used to warn me about car mechanics that might create damage to the vehicle to basically generate their own business. that’s never happened to me with cars, but I can’t help but feel that the things Vern’s has touched are now broken in such a way to keep me having to call them. I’ve never had this many plumbing problems that are directly tied to recent work done by a plumber. I’ve actually never had this many plumbing problems in such a short window of time.New toilet bowl - leaking from the base in less than 2 years.New drain stop - now that sink is leaking in months.New water treatment - now I need someone to snake the line or figure out what’s happening with the drain from the new system that is leaking outside,Mistaken charge that I had to chase down.This is my experience.I am just stating facts of what’s happened to me, and why this is one star. Be careful. Maybe I’m just SUPER UNLUCKY 😳 with plumbing in 2021 and 2022, but I’m going with a different plumber and now paying to basically fix the work that Vern’s did. Ugh. 😠

I've never hired a plumber before so I was dreading having to bring in someone to do some work because you just never know what the experience will be like. However, Vern made this a really easy process. I called and spoke with a very kind lady, Jessica, that answered my questions and got me booked for an appointment. If you were wondering like me if you are in their service area do call and ask as my town wasn't listed on their website but they were able to still come out. Chris Wilson was the technician that I worked with. Very professional, easy to work with, and helpful in figuring out the best/most straightforward solutions to some issues I had with my kitchen and bathrooms sinks and the toilet. I certainly learned a lot. He arrived early and wore shoe covers. He didn't try to upsell me at all which I appreciated. Even my wife who didn't interact with Chris directly could tell that sounded pleasant and happy to be doing his job.Very fair pricing. Will use Vern again if I need something else done for my home!

Called their office at around 4 o’clock expecting to schedule an appointment for the next day. The nice lady who answered the phone said let me check and see what we can do. She called back in a few minutes and said her tech could be own his way. I got home and he was waiting for me. Chris looked at my hot water heater and told me he could have it done by 7:30 tonight. He gave me an estimate immediately which I thought was a fair price. Another tech showed up with the tank and they went to work. I contacted Vern's because I had a drainage system for 3 downspouts that runs under my driveway that was backing up and overflowing onto the driveway. They gave me a quote for power jetting the pipe and them putting a camera down it to verify it was clean. It turned out the pipe under the driveway was full of shingle grit and sludge (house built 20 years ago). They jet washed it and then attempted to put the camera in. The camera was too big to navigate the turns in the pipe. They then came back with a different camera that would fit the pipe and succeeded in shooting it to verify it was open. They had agreed to reclean the system if it proved to still be blocked at no added cost. They are very professional, responsive, friendly and explain everything they are doing as they go. I wouldn't use any other company for a problem that required investigation and testing to determine the cause.
